SEMINAR/CONFERENCE/WORKSHOP OF THE DEPARTMENT


Workshop:

(C) Organized One-Day International Workshop on Managing Research for Effective Outcome for research oriented minds on 6th August, 2018. The objective of the workshop was to enhance the research skills of academicians, researchers and students to reach a level that was necessary for journal publication.

Prof. Mohammed Chowdhury of Touro College & the University System, New York, USA and Prof. Zahurul Alam of Department Of Management, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh were the resource persons invited in the program. Prof. Badar Alam Iqbal, Retired Professor, Department of Commerce, AMU graced the occasion as the Chief Guest in the inaugural session of the workshop.

The program comprised of two technical sessions on how to conceptualize research and map the processes to maximize outcome of research. Numerous examples were used by the speakers to guide the researchers to develop research insights and figure out the research impediments. The facilitators shared their experiences for studying abroad and doing research with foreign collaborations. They also provided insights on how to handle the reviewers comments and methods for getting the papers accepted. The workshop also touched on the ethics of research and plagiarism.

Program covered the following topics;

Topic I: Motivations to maximise research outcomes.

Topic II: Mapping research Processes & Handling Reviewers Comments

Topic III: Ethics in Research

Topic IV: How to get admissions in International Universities

Topic V: Procedure to get foreign collaboration for research

Topic VI: Query Session

The program concluded with the memento presentation and certificates distribution. Prof. M. Khalid Azam of Department of Business Administration, AMU and Prof. Imran Saleem of Department of Commerce, AMU acted as technical Sessions coordinators.
