The program has been designed with the following objectives:

PSO1: To impart adequate knowledge, essential skills and to develop a favorable attitude for the course of study.

PSO2: To equip the learners with necessary pedagogical skills and competencies to synchronize theory and practice to become effective learners.

PSO3: To develop self-confidence, self-direction, and self-evolution in learners to ensure their personal & social development and to promote life-long learning.

PSO4: To provide a detailed account of philosophical, sociological, and psychological foundations of education to endorse reflective & critical thinking, social efficiencies &competencies, analytical reasoning &problem-solving ability of learners.

PSO5: To make learners familiar with the historical development of education and to develop a holistic view to appreciate and speculate the educational concepts in modern India like inclusive education, adult & non-formal education, women's education, distance education, teacher education, education for minorities, environmental education, etc.

PSO6: To awaken learners of the educational challenges at different stages, to make them aware of constitutional provisions, to go through the reports of various commissions& national policies in order to inspire them to find out creative solutions.

The programme has been designed with the following objectives:


PSO1: To familiarize learners with the theories and concepts of education drawn from various disciplines related to education such as Sociology, Philosophy, Psychology, ICT, Distance education etc. in such a way to enrich the linkage with methods, pedagogy and practices in the classroom.

PSO2: To equip learners with the theoretical and statistical knowledge and competencies required for educational researches so that they can conduct researchers to improve theory and practices of education.
