Outreach
- Each year, Department of Political Science celebrates the various prominent days like Human Rights Day and Environment Day with the involvement of Students, Research Scholars and Faculty members by organizing lecture programs. Oral poster presentation by research scholars, essay writing competition etc. are also organized for sensitizing them towards the importance of these days. Teachers and scholars form within the university and outside are invited to lecture on the different subject of importance and interact with the students.
- Time to time Research Methodology Workshop has been organized for Research Scholars according to their requirement and needs.
- Political Science Forum of the Department organizes In-House Seminar/Discussion on weekly basis for Research Scholars and Masters Students usually mentored by senior faculty members. In this In-House Seminar Research Scholars present their chapters/papers for critical suggestions by fellow scholars and teachers. This activity has been very instrumental and many positive feedbacks has been received by the Department.
- The Department has been organizing National Seminars and the latest addition was National Seminar titled "Towards Just India" sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR).
- Talks and Workshops has been organized on several pertinent methodological issues and debates within the political science/social science discipline. Some of the previous talks were on Research Writing, Gender Justice, Intellectual Property Rights and Linguistic Rights.
- We also have discussion on chosen books with the students of the Department. From time to time the faculty members also discuss with the students about the current topic of research and what are the new openings available in India and abroad.
