Dr. Tripathi earned his B.Sc., M.Sc. (Physics) degree's from A.P.S. University, Rewa M.P. and M. Phil. degree from Jiwaji University, Gwalior. He obtained his Ph.D. from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara. After received Ph.D. degree from M.S.U., he went to University of Essex, U.K. and Tell Aviv University, Israel for his post doctorate work. The area of his research falls in the broad domain of Condensed Matter Physics in which it concerns mainly many body aspects and theoretical aspects of transport properties of low dimensional systems with the present interest focused on Synthesis and characterization of metal oxide semiconductors. . He has been awarded Young Scientist DST Fast Track Project entitled "Transport Properties of Nitride Structure" in the year of 2005. He has published research papers in reputed international journals like; Phys. Rev. B, J. of Phys.:Cond. Matter, Journal of Applied Physics, Applied Surface Science, Physica E, Journal of Applied Physics, Modern Physics Letters B,  Journal of Alloys and Compound and others etc. In teaching, career spanning about  21 years and he has taught B.Sc. & M.Sc. students at Physics Department, Faculty of Science, The M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara and B.Tech. & M.Tech. Nano Technology & Materials Science & Technology students at Department of Applied Physics, A.M.U. Aligarh.
