Obtained Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from University of Roorkee and Master of Technology and Doctor of Philosophy from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. Joined the Department of Chemical Engineering, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh as Lecturer on December 1, 1988. Promoted to Lecturer Selection Grade in December 1998 and to Reader in June 2004. Placed as Associate Professor on January 1, 2006. Promoted as Professor on August 1, 2014. Major areas of research interests include Transfer Operations, Separation Processes, Modeling Simulation and Optimization, Thermodynamics of Phase Equilibria, Control of Separation Processes. About Thirty four years of teaching and research experience at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Taught about fifteen different theory courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Supervised more about twenty M. Tech. Dissertations and one PhD thesis, few are under progress. Attended many national and international conferences. Published the research papers in reputed international journals like Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering, Fluid Phase Equilibria and International Journal of Scientific and Engineering Research, Chemical Engineering Research and Design, Separation and Purification Technology, Journal of Chemical and Engineering Data. Reviewer of various reputed Journals. Expert member of NBA accreditation.
