Dr. Ziaur Rehman Ansari received B.Sc. (Honors) Geology, M.Sc. (Applied Geology) and M.Phil (Geology) from AMU, Aligarh in 2001, 2003 and 2005 respectively and Ph.D from the AMU, Aligarh in collaboration with Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun in Geology with specialization in Remote Sensing and GIS on research problem entitled “Detail Analysis of Digital Elevation Model for Geological and Geomorphological studies in Sitla Rao watershed of Dehradun District, Uttrakhand”., India in 2011.

He worked as Assistant Professor/Guest Faculty in the Department of Geology, A.M.U., Aligarh from 2012 to 2014. In session 2015-16, he joined as Guest Teacher at the Interdisciplinary Department of Remote Sensing and GIS Applications.

Dr. Ansari has published 25 papers in peer reviewed national and international repute journals, he has attended many national and international conferences and presented research papers in the field of Remote Sensing, he has also received International Scientist Awards as a Best Researcher Award in Science category 2020 from VDGOOD Technology Factory.

Dr. Ansari as a TPO has been able to place seventeen (17) students of department in various positions in different remote sensing and GIS centres of the country and abroad.
