Dr. Syed Shariq Naeem is a "Clinical researcher with a passion for teaching and genomic based research". He has earned the degrees of MBBS and MD (Pharmacology) from Jahawarlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University. He has qualified DNB (Pharmacology) from National Board of Examination, Delhi. He passed DM in Clinical Pharmacology from AIIMS, Delhi. He also holds the Diploma in Clinical Research & Pharmacovigilance and PG Diploma in Hospital Management.
He did his senior residency in prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi.
He has been invited by various societies to deliver Guest lectures (including Apollo Health Research Foundation). He has 25 accepted or published articles in national and international journals to his credit. 13 papers from his work have been presented in various National and International conferences. He has attended 19 workshops and training courses in diverse sub-fields of pharmacology including clinical research, genomics, stem cell technology, cell culture, bioinformatics, screening methodologies and medical education. He has been instrumental in conducting various conferences and workshops at the institutional level.
He held a provisional patent to his name for designing a mannequin for teaching "Routes of drug administration". He also has the copyrights of 2 android based mobile apps useful in assessment and reporting of adverse drug reactions in patients.
He has keen interest in personalized medicine, drug discovery and preclinical research. He also devotes his time in innovating tools for improving medical education. As a Member, he has been actively involved in different institutional committees.
He has been working in Department of Pharmacology, JNMC, AMU as Assistant Professor since 2015.
