I completed my dissertation for the award of degree of M.Phil. on "A CRITICAL REVIEW OF LABOUR WELFARE POLICIES OF THE GOVERNMENT OF UTTAR PRADESH" in the year 1990. In order to pursue my interest in labour studies, the thesis entitled "A STUDY OF LABOUR RELATIONS IN U.P. STATE PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKING WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO UPTRON" was submitted for the award of the degree of Ph.D. in Commerce in the year of 1992. Since then, my research interest is only on labour relations with main focus on Public Sector undertakings in India. Being overburdened with day to day teaching load and other responsibilities assigned, time to time, to me I could not fulfil my desire to do so. However I have undergone orientation programmes conduced by UGC Academic Staff College at A.M.U. with effect from 01.05.1999 to 05.05.1999 and 18.10.2005 to 27.10.2005 which motivated me to adhere strictly to the teaching interest in Accountancy and Statistics.
