Dr. Kaleem Ahmed

Dr. Kaleem Ahmed is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Wildlife Sciences Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, and actively engaged in wildlife for the last ten years. Before joining Aligarh Muslim University. Dr. Kaleem worked as Guest Faculty, Department of Zoology, BGSB, University Rajouri. He handled a plethora of projects from endangered barasingha in terai forest to biodiversity conservation of Kumaon Himalayas. 

Dr. Kaleem engaged in providing a basic training facility to the forest staff of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve during Project Tiger and Afghan delegates in Corbett Tiger Reserve for Protected Area Management sponsored by WCS and Snow Leopard Trust. Dr. Kaleem also worked as a consultant to prepare the Biodiversity Conservation plan of Kaimoor Wildlife Sanctuary. He also worked as a consultant to assess the Biodiversity of Jasrota Wildlife Sanctuary, Kathua with Wildlife Protection Department, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir. 

Dr. Kaleem teaches Animal Behaviour, Ornithology,  Biodiversity Conservation, and Wildlife Conservation at the Department of Wildlife Sciences at the postgraduate level. Dr. Kaleem is a member of various international bodies like IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas, IUCN Commission on Education and Communication (CEC), GEOBON: Biodiversity Observations Network, Germany, World Academy of Science: Scientific and Technical Committee & Editorial Review Board Member, Dubai, etc. Dr. Kaleem is also presently working as Warden in Sir Ziuadin Hall, AMU, Aligarh.
