I investigated the cellular toxic effects of conventional insecticides and insect growth regulators on the haemocytes of insects for my Ph.D thesis. The study provided fundamental information on the haemocyte ultrastructure and toxicity. Further, I extended my work on the efficacy of Juvenile Hormone and Ecdysone analogues for the control of Diacrisia obliqua, Dysdercus cingulatus and Helicoverpa armigera and other agricultural pests as part of CSIR funded research project. Recently I have widened my research area and included studies on the pesticidal exposure and ensuing adverse effects on health and environment using Drosophila and Bombyx as model. Furthermore, I am exploring  alternate methods of insect pest management including pheromones and semiochemicals
