Abdullah Hall is one of the largest Residential Hall of Aligarh Muslim University providing accommodation facility to 1370 bonafide resident students.

There is a central Kitchen facility which is well equipped with all the necessities in terms of staff and basic facilities for preparing food in a hygienic manner under the supervision of the the munshi, food warden and also a team of food committee comprising of resident students.

Within the hall premises there are seven hostels each with its separate dining hall. Each dining hall has proper well spaced seating arrangement. Each dining hall has its own refrigerator, RO facility, desert coolers and a team of staff members for serving the food. In winters to ensure that the residents get warm food Ben Marie are installed.

Besides that in each wing of the hostel common utility points are provided so that whenever needed residents can make tea or prepare some eatable as and when required

Resident members of different hostels are selected to be a part of food committee who give their inputs and assist food warden in drafting the weekly menu for the hall. The members of the food committee also keep vigil while food is cooked in the kitchen or at the time of its distribution in dinning hall.

To check the quality of food the Provost and wardens regularly check the quality of cooked food and also surprise visits are done in dining halls to see that the food is being properly served and the quality of the food is maintained.
