Dr. Mu. Naeem received degrees of BSc, MSc and PhD in Botany subject from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. After getting his PhD, he received Postdoctoral Fellowship (Young Scientist) under the Fast Track Scheme of Department of Science & Technology, Govt of India, Science and Engineering Research Board New Delhi. To date, he has successfully run four major research projects funded by the DST, SERB, UGC, New Delhi and CSTUP, Lucknow. For more than a decade, he has devoted his research to improving the yield and quality of commercially important crop plants including medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs). His research focuses on escalating the production of MAPs and their active principles using a novel and safe technique involving radiation-processed polysaccharides, as well as the application of potent plant growth regulators (PGRs) under favourable and unfavourable conditions. Dr. Naeem has published more than 100 research articles in reputable national and international journals. Also, he has authored 11 books and co-authored several book chapters published by international publishers. He has 3293 citations with h-index of 32 and i10 index of 75 and total Impact Factor of his reserch publication is 223. Based on his research contributions, Dr. Naeem has received multiple awards and recognitions from prestigious scientific bodies of India including Yuva Vaigyanic Samman from State Government of Uttar Pradesh, Research Associateship from CSIR, New Delhi, Young Scientist of the Year Award from the Scientific and Environmental Research Institute, Kolkata; ‘ABRF Excellence Award for Botanical Research from Asian Biological Research Foundation, Prayagraj, and ‘ESDA Senior Scientist Award from Environment and Social Development Association, New Delhi.
