Dr. Mariyam Fatima joined the Department of Home
Science as an Assistant professor in August 2014. She is actively engaged in
teaching B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Home Science) and B.Sc. (Agriculture). She completed
her Graduation and Postgraduation in Home Science from the Department of Home
Science, AMU, Aligarh in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Then completed my B.Ed.
from the Department of Education, AMU, Aligarh in 2012. She completed her Ph.D.
in Home Science on Marital Stability among women and its effect on the Social
Development of their children in 2018. She had been awarded the National Talent
scholarship in P.G. and Qualified NET in the very first attempt in 2010 and
awarded a Junior Research Fellowship by UGC. She has supervised 15
Dissertations and PG levels and 25 Graduation Projects. She is a member of
various departmental committees such as Training and Placement, Curriculum
Development, Anti-ragging, etc. She is also actively engaged with IGNOU as an
Academic Counselor for allied fields of home science. Areas of interest include
Human Development and family studies, Resource Management, Educational
psychology, Marital stability among various societies, etc. She has also served
as Pro-Proctor for maintaining discipline at the Faculty of Agriculture. She has
also served as Non-Resident warden of Sarojini Naidu Hall AMU. She is Awarded AICPERT
-Rashtriya CV Raman Ratna Award -2023 for Best Guide and Supervisor in the
Discipline of Home Science By All Indian Council For Productive Education
Research and Training (AICPERT) and Best Faculty Award 2024 in Home Science at the 7th International
Conference on Advances in Agriculture Technology and Allied Sciences. Presently, she is looking forward to putting her efforts into the
progressive and holistic development of students for the development of the
