Architecture Section
About the Department
The Architecture Section was established in the year 1985 at University Polytechnic, Aligarh Muslim University for three years Diploma in Architectural Assistantship. This section was started keeping in mind the great demand of Architectural Assistants in market all over the Country. Since then regular batches of 20 students every year are observed well in the market.
In the year 2004 the section was expanded by starting a parallel three year diploma course in Interior Design with intake of 20 students every year. Interior design course was started keeping in mind the expanding demand of Interior Designers in the market.
The two professional Diploma courses Diploma in Architecture and Diploma in Interior Design with intake of 20 each are running smoothly and batches are successfully passing out to cater the great demand of the construction sector.
Our Section has required staff as well as infrastructure like Auto CAD lab, drawing studios, Smart Design Studio, Carpentry and Model Making Work shop etc. Running in new building C-block of University Polytechnic, AMU Aligarh.
The syllabus was revised as per requirement of demand in the field through the BOS held on 02-05-2017 and BOS held on 27-03-2019.
