Dr. Naseem Us Sahar is a dedicated and detail-oriented educator with exceptional expertise in research and sustainable development. She holds a Ph.D. in Home Science from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), specializing in extracting natural dyes from agricultural waste, particularly marigold flowers, for textile applications. In addition to her doctoral degree, she earned an M.Sc. in Home Science, a B.Sc. in Home Science (Resource Management), and a B.Ed. in Home Science, all from AMU, along with UGC NET and JRF qualifications. She has served as a guest faculty in the Department of Home Science, AMU from 2007 to 2014 and again in 2023.

With over 17 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Sahar is known for fostering student-centered learning and hands-on skill development. Her dedication to the field is evident in numerous awards, including First Prize for Best Project Proposal (2022), Best Young Scholar Award (2022), Young Social Scientist Award (2018), International Best Poster Presentation Award (2018), and Award for Academic Excellence (2007). She was also nominated to represent AMU at the North Zone Student Research Convention (Anveshan-2018) and for best paper presentation at the Indian Social Science Congress (2013).

Beyond academia, she co-founded Aawaan Education Society, promoting community health and empowerment. Her interdisciplinary approach drives sustainable innovation in Home Science and textile development.
