The Computer Science Society for the academic session 2024–25 was actively involved in organizing events and workshops that aimed to enhance students' technical knowledge, practical skills, and community engagement. The team brought together mentors and coordinators to create impactful learning experiences across a range of computer science disciplines.


Major Events Organized


1. AMUHACKS 4.0 – TheAnnual Flagship Event

AMUHACKS 4.0 stood out as the premier event of the Department of Computer Science, attracting participants from across the country. The event included:

  • 36-Hour National-Level Online Hackathon hosted on the Devfolio platform
  • Offline Coding Competition exclusively for university students
  • Offline Quiz Competition testing technical knowledge and logical reasoning
  • Capture the Flag (CTF) an Online Treasure Hunt fostering cybersecurity skills and problem-solving under pressure

2. CodeHawk 2.0 –Departmental Coding Competition
An engaging two-tier coding contest that allowed students to showcase their problem-solving abilities:

  • Junior Level: Tailored for beginners and first-year students to introduce them to the competitive programming culture.
  • Senior Level: Designed for experienced participants, offering more challenging problems for advanced coders.

3. CS360 2.0 – A Four-DayTechnical Workshop Series
CS360 2.0 provided a comprehensive roadmap to various domains within the field of computer science. The workshop series spanned four days, each focused on a distinct specialization:

  • Day 1: Introduction to Programming Languages and Data Structures & Algorithms
  • Day 2: Fundamentals and Applications of Cyber Security
  • Day 3: Web Development – Frontend to Backend
  • Day 4: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Overview


Together, these events highlighted the society's commitment to fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence among computer science students.
