Professor Farah Ghaus is a distinguished academician associated with the Department of Anatomy, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, with over 23 years of rich teaching and research experience. She has made significant contributions to anatomical sciences, particularly in the field of foetal anatomy, which remains her core area of expertise.
She serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Inderbir Singh’s Human Embryology (12th, 13th, and 14th editions) and IB Singh’s Human Histology (11th edition). Additionally, she is a member of the editorial boards of several reputed national and international journals and a life member of various anatomical societies, reflecting her sustained engagement with the academic community.
An avid researcher, Professor Ghaus has published extensively in numerous national and international journals. She is also the author of the book “Development of Maxillary Sinus – A Morphological Study in Human Foetuses”, which adds valuable insight to developmental anatomy literature. Her scholarly contributions have earned her inclusion in Marquis Who’s Who in the World, where her biography was published continuously for five years (2010–2015).
In recognition of her academic excellence and professional stature, she was honored with the Best Indian Golden Personality Award by the Friendship Forum. She has also been featured in prominent publications, including Lifestyle Magazine (March 2023), Elite Education Magazine (2023), and The Knowledge Review (2023).
Professor Ghaus has played an important role in academic evaluation by reviewing several renowned textbooks, including Snell’s Clinical Neuroanatomy (2nd SAE), Snell’s Clinical Anatomy (2nd SAE), Langman’s Medical Embryology (2nd SAE), and Histology: Text & Atlas (2/e) by Brijesh Kumar.
Extending her contribution beyond traditional academia, she has launched her own educational YouTube channel, “Ghaus’ Anatomy Lectures”, which serves as a valuable learning platform for medical students and anatomy enthusiasts worldwide.
