Mirza Shariq Beg currently serves as a Guest Faculty in the Mechanical Engineering section of the University Polytechnic at Aligarh Muslim University. In 2023, Dr. Beg successfully earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Machine Design, at Aligarh Muslim University. Throughout his doctoral journey, he benefited from the financial support provided by the DST-SERB project as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and also received scholarships under TEQIP-III.

Dr. Beg's research focuses on micromechanics, material and geometrical defects, smart materials, and both straight and curved structures. His scholarly contributions extend to prestigious international journals such as Composite Structures, Mechanics of Materials, and Steel and Composite Structures. Additionally, he has actively engaged in article reviews for various journals. Furthermore, Dr. Beg has presented his research findings at reputable conferences and contributed papers to esteemed book series and chapters, including AIP Conference Proceedings, IOP Conference Proceedings, and Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering.
