Dr. Mohd. Abushad is currently working as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Physics, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, and has previously served as a Senior Project Associate at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. He received his Ph.D. in Physics from Aligarh Muslim University. He qualified for the national-level examination JEST (2019) and also, he is a member of the American Physical Society (APS), USA.
Dr. Abushad has successfully completed a major research project as a Junior and Senior Research Fellow (JRF/SRF) funded by IUAC, New Delhi. His research interests lie in experimental condensed matter physics and materials science, with a focus on the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for energy storage and energy conversion applications. His expertise includes photocatalysis, hydrogen generation, supercapacitors, cyclic voltammetry, electron microscopy, magnetic nanomaterials, nanostructured functional materials, and graphene-based nanocomposites.
He is proficient in various synthesis routes and advanced analytical techniques such as XRD, CV, SAXS, SEM, AFM, PLD, TEM, and low-temperature transport measurements, and has extensive experience in ion beam irradiation–induced modification of material properties.
Dr. Abushad has published over 30 research papers in reputed international peer-reviewed journals, including Applied Electronics materials ACS, Materials Research Bulletin, Ceramics International, Journal of the American Ceramic Society, and Energy storage etc.
