Dr S.Zainuddin is a Professor in the Department of Sociology,Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. His research areas/interest are Social Stratification among Muslims in India, Madrasa Education in India, Tablighi Jamaat as an Islamic Movement, Globalization and Culture. He has presented papers in National and International Conferences and Seminars and has published research papers in national and international journals. He has worked closely with Elizabeth A Mann (London School of Economics);Christopher P.H.Murphy(U.S.A) and Douglas E. Goodfriend (U.S.A) in their projects.
