Dr. Sadaf Nasir is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Social Sciences, AMU, Aligarh. She worked for her M.Phil. thesis on “Child Labour in Brass Industries in Moradabad: A Sociological Study”. She has been awarded a Ph.D. degree on the topic "Socio-Economic Deprivation of Muslims in Lock and Lac Industries: A Comparative Study of Aligarh and Hyderabad”. She is the author of a book entitled “Child Labour in Brass Industry of Moradabad (U.P.)” and Co-editor of two books entitled “Development, Health, and Globalization” and “Unorganised Sector of India Its Issues and Challenges”. She is teaching PG and UG students for more than ten years and has guided 02 PhDs till date. Her areas of interest include the Sociology of Marginalised Groups and the Sociology of Health. She has presented several papers in National and International Seminars and Conferences and contributed chapters in edited books and Research papers in national and international Journals of repute. She is a dedicated teacher and fully devoted to her profession.
