Prof. Towqueer Alam Falahi, (Kormatthu, Sherghaty, Gaya, Bihar) after having received his early education, joined Jamiatul Falah, a renowned institution at Bilariaganj, Azamgarh (U.P.) from where, he obtained the degree of al-Almiah and al-Fa-dilah. In 1985, he came to Aligarh Muslim University, where he refined his learning, doing M.A., & M.Phil. in Arabic literature from the Department of Arabic, A.M.U., Aligarh. After that, he completed his Doctrate on 'The Holy Quran And The Orientalists' from the same Department After obtaining Doctrate, Prof. Alam joined as a Research Associate in the said Department. On 11th of May, 1993, he joined the Faculty of Theology as a Lecturer in Sunni Theology, A.M.U., Aligarh. On 29th Jan. 2004, he was promoted as Reader (on the cadre post). Now he is Professor in Sunni Theology since 29th jan.2010. In April,2016, he visited Mercer University, Atlanta U.S.A as Visiting Professor. 30 books in Urdu, Arabic, English and Hindi have been published by the scholar, while 9 are under process of publication by the scholar. Prof. Alam, as a guest of British, Iran, Kuwait and U.S. governments, has been invited to participate in Seminars, Symposia and Dialogues. Quraniyat, Arabic Literature and Comparative Study of Religions are the areas of specialization in which Prof. Alam exhibits his creative endeavors. He has 26 years of teaching experience specially in Tafseer and Tarikh-e-Mazahib.
