He did his MS in Surgery in 1994. At present, he is a Professor & Senior Surgical Consultant in the Department of Surgery, J N Medical College, AMU, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh India. He has been awarded FRCS, FACS, FICS, FAIS FMAS, FAIGES and FACRSI. He also received Outstanding Young Surgical Teacher Award in 2008 by Association Surgeons of India, UP Chapter. He has 71 publications as author and co-author in journals of high impact factor. Presented 41 papers at different academic meets. He has supervised 44 thesis for MS/MD dissertation. Attended more than 104 conferences, workshops, symposium and CME as faculty and delegates. He has been the examiner of MBBS, MS (Gen Surgery), M.Ch, at several Institutes of India. The area of interest is Gastrointestinal and Surgical Oncology especially colorectal surgeries. Large no. of laparoscopic procedures has been carried out by him. He is also doing theruapetic endoscopy including ERCP, Banding, Polypectomies, Dilatation, Stentenig and others. More than 7800 open and laparoscopic surgical procedures has been performed including large no. of Proctological and Colo-rectal procedures. 4500 diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopies has been done. He runs the Colo-rectal special Clinic at J N Medical College & Hospital, AMU, Aligarh.
