Dr. Shahzad Anwar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of TB and Respiratory Diseases at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He completed his MD in Pulmonary Medicine in 2020 from JNMC, AMU, with a thesis focusing on the coexistence of coronary artery disease in newly diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea patients. He holds an MBBS degree from the same institution and is registered with the Medical Council of Uttar Pradesh.

Dr. Anwar has over three years of experience as a Senior Resident, with extensive involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, management of respiratory and sleep-related disorders, and care of critically ill patients in the ICU. He is skilled in a wide range of pulmonary and critical care procedures, including bronchoscopy and medical thoracoscopy.

An active academician and researcher, he has multiple national and international publications and has presented papers at reputed conferences. He is a recipient of the European Diploma in Adult Respiratory Medicine (ERS) and has participated as a co-investigator in several Phase II and Phase III clinical trials related to COPD, asthma, COVID-19, and vaccines. His professional interests include interventional pulmonology, sleep medicine, tuberculosis, and clinical research.
