I, Dr. Shoeba Binte Anis obtained Ph. D degree in 2000, under the supervision of Prof. Mohd. Hayat (renowned Taxonomist), A.M.U. Aligarh. I was appointed as permanent faculty member on 29 March 2006, became a senior lecturer (stage II) in 2008. Later in 2013, promoted to Assistant Professor (stage III), now working as Associate Professor w.e.f. 17.11.2016. I have 23 years teaching experience and 26 years experience as a researcher, has published 42 research papers in various reputed National and International Journals such as Oriental Insects, Zootaxa etc. and published two chapters in books entitled “Integrated Management of Arthropod Pests and Insect Borne Diseases”, Springer, and “Insect Diversity and Taxonomy”, T.C.N. and also an author of the book “Plant signals and response to Herbivory” . I have guided 07 research students and trained several Post graduate students through 27 projects. Besides, I worked as a Co-PI of ICAR funded Research Project, on "Network Project on Insect Biosystematics", and presently working as a PI of MoEF funded Research Project on “Biosystematics and Biodiversity Studies of Trichogrammatids, (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea: Trichogrammatidae) from India”. I extended my research work apart from family Encyrtidae to two more important families of Parasitoid Hymenoptera- Mymaridae and Trichogrammatidae , extensively used in Biological Control Programmes.
