The Department of Foreign Languages was established in 2015. The Department currently runs undergraduate and postgraduate courses in FIVE International Languages i.e. Chinese, French, German, Russian and Spanish.

Apart from training students in different languages, the department and its stakeholders are seriously engage in diverse research and teaching areas pertaining to these foreign languages (Chinese, French, German, Russian and Spanish).

The thrust areas of the department are:

• Foreign Language Teaching (Second Language Acquisition)

• Comparative Literature and World Literature

• Translation and Interpreting Studies

• Cultural and Literary Studies
