The Department of Home Science, Aligarh Muslim University, organised a two-phase Career Counselling Programme for undergraduate and postgraduate students, focusing on academic planning, skill development and professional readiness.

In the first phase, Mr Saad Hameed, Training and Placement Officer (General), conducted an interactive session for UG and PG students, outlining the wide range of career avenues available after completing degrees in Community Science. He emphasised the importance of skill enhancement, internships and job preparedness, encouraging students to align their choices with their interests and strengths.

Dr Zeba, Training and Placement Officer of the department, highlighted the role of structured counselling in shaping students’ academic and professional trajectories.

The second phase, held exclusively for B.Sc. Community Science 7th-semester students, focused on their mandatory internship for the upcoming semester. Prof Saba Khan, Chairperson of the department, along with Dr Zeba, Internship Incharge, briefed students on internship requirements, placement possibilities, institutional expectations and the process of identifying suitable organisations.
