World Asthma Day was celebrated successfully on 7/5/2024 in the seminar room of department of TB and Respiratory Disease. It was chaired by Professor Mohammad Shameem. program was attended by faculties and residents of different departments. 

New resident orientation program was held for 2023 MD pulmonary medicine batch residents in the seminar room of department of TB and RD, JNMCH, AMU. It was organised by the chairman of the department of TBRD, Prof Mohammad Shameem on 28/10/2023. all the newly admitted residents were felicitated by Prof Mohammad Shameem. This program  encouraged the fresher batch to do their duties sincerely and learn and grow into a good physician and pulmonologists. dr Nafess Ahmad Khan also addressed the residents to ensure proper patient care and encouraged the residents for research work. 

JNMC chest meet was organized on 12/08/23 in seminar room of department of TB and RD, Jnmch, amu. It was a grand success. eminent pulmonologists around the country participated in it. Theme of the meet was " ROLE OF SITT IN INADEQUATELY CONTROLLED ASTHMA. 

Pneumologica was a 2 day event held on 5/8/23 and 6/8/23. It was a great success. faculties around the nation participated. it was a very enriching experience for all the participants. 

2 days Cascade training of NTEP was organised by Department od Respiratory medicine JN Medical college AMU Aligarh on     23 rd and 24th April under supervision of Prof Mohammad Shameem chairman, Dept. of Respiratory medicine and prof Veena Maheshwari dean principal and CMS.

Training was attended by residents of different departments, intern, nursing staff. Training was conducted by Prof. Zuber Ahmad dept of Respiratory medicine FH medical college, Tundla, Dr Nafees khan dept of Respiratory medicine, Dr Ali Jafar abedi department of community medicine, Dr Uzma firdous department of paediatrics, Dr waleem ahmad department of Medicine, Imrana masood dept of Respiratory medicine, Dr shahzad anwar department of respiratory medicine, and Dr Shariq ahmad dept of microbiology. It was great learning 2 days for our residents and intern along with nursing staff.

Prof Veena maheshwari told about the importance of TB control program and how these training is going to control this disease.

Prof mohammad shameem elaborated the contribution of Department of respiratory medicine JN medical college toward fight against this deadly disease.

Dr Nafees khan spoke about the treatment of tuberculosis and recent advances.

A workshop and training programme on Bronchoscopy was held on 10th May 2014. About 50 participants toook part in it.

On the occasion of World Asthma day a quiz competition on bronchial asthma was held on 6th of May. National Conference on Pulmonary medicine (NAPCON 2014). Jointly organized by department of TB and respiratory Diseases, J. N. Medical College, AMU and S. N. Medical College, Agra on 20 Nov. -23 Nov. at Jaypee Palace hotel and Convention Centre, Agra. About 2500 national and international delegates participated in it.
