Dr. Fatimah Javed has done her BA and MA in English literature from Aligarh Muslim University in 2010 and 2012 respectively with first division, securing the first position in both the courses. She has four gold medals to her credit, that were awarded to her for being the university topper in both graduation and master's. During her BA, she was also adjudged as the Best Girl of Women's College in the session 2009-10, for which she was also conferred upon with the prestigious Papa Mian Padma Bhushan Award. She has been awarded her Ph.D. degree in the year 2017. The topic of her research is "From Shakespearean text to cinema: A study of select dramaturgic adaptations". The work is a detailed comparative analysis between Shakespeare's classic tragedies namely Macbeth, Othello, and Hamlet with the trilogy of adaptations (Maqbool, Omkara, and Haider) by notable film director Vishal Bhardwaj. In recognition of her services concerning Ph.D. work especially, the National Institute of Mass Communication New Delhi honored her with Media Icon Award in the year 2018. Dr. Fatimah has published 02 International papers in ESCI and Scopus Indexed Journals and  04 papers in Peer-reviewed/UGC-approved Journals. She has also presented 03  papers at national and international conferences. Her area of interest lies in Shakespearean Drama, film studies, and comparative literature.
