I am interested in the areas of computational aerodynamics, novel technqiues of turbulent drag-reduction, rotating flows and spherical rotating magneto-convection. Currently am involved in stratified turbulent Taylor Couette flows and developing codes for turbulent drag reduction in supersonic/subsonic channel flows using liquid infused surfaces. For this, we have developed numerous high-order finite-difference parallel Navier-Stokes solvers using both MPI as well as OpenMP programming paradigms. Currently, I have developed a high-order linearized Navier-Stokes solver in order to analyze effect of active control of streamwise-travelling waves of wall-normal velocity on turbulent boundary layers/channel flows.
My teaching interests are primarily in fluid dynamics, aerodynamics and CFD. Though I am now digressing in the area of complexity in Engineering systems using the concept of Synchronicity
in order to ascertain order out of chaos. I have published in Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Physics of Fluids, Journal of turbulence, Intl, Journal of Heat and Mass transfer, etc.
