9.The Somatom Emotion 16 by Siemens is a CT scanner with a 16-slice configuration. The Siemens Somatom Emotion 16 scanner has been designed with a 70 cm aperture and a 50 cm scan field. It has a patient table that can hold patients up to 440 pounds. The Somatom Emotion 16 offers reconstruction on the fly with up to 16 images per second

It was installed and inaugurated by Dr Naseem Ahmad,honorable vice chancellor of amu on 1st september 2009.
It is a whole body scanner featuring Tim(total imaging matrix )RF system with 8,18, or 32 available independent RF receiver channels.it comes with a new manet,new gradient with acoustic noise reduction ,a new radio-frequency system with multi channel options and a new RF coil concept.It helps to combine elements from physically separate coils without patient repositioning or coil changes, for shorter exams and greater patient comfort.
