Thrust Areas for research and teaching under the aforesaid programme are:

1- Comparative Study of Creative Writing in Urdu with Persian and Arabic Languages.

2- this Project will further divided into two Independent Research area: (a) Urdu Poetry (b) Urdu Fiction

It is a proud for our department that after respectfully completing the first phase of Centre of Advanced Study in 2016 the UGC has granted it II Phase of Centre of Advanced Study which was implemented in October, 2018 under the thrust area of this programme the Department had organized two National Seminars “Arabic and Persian Qasida Nigar” and “Qazi Abdul Sattar Aur Unka Ahad” 7-8 March and 25-26 March, 2019  respectively.

Among 28, sixteen outside Aligarh delegates were attended these Seminars from all over the Country and these seminars were resulted the great knowledge on these topics.

During this tenure of CAS, 24 experts had delivered their lectures on different topics.

There have been appointed two Project Fellows to initially work on thrust area and later then two other Project Fellows were appointed who have continuously been working on the later stage of thrust area i.e. Study of Dakkain.

In the first financial year of Project the Department head purchased the important and relevant books, journals and Encyclopedia worth of Rs. 1,50000/-.
