The MA Urdu programme offers broader and appropriate curriculum of the classical and contemporary literature. The courses are designed to introduce the vast and intense study of the ancient, medieval and modern literature as well as the history of Urdu literature. The courses aim to enable the students to understand and to fully familiarize with the literary studies of the subject at the PG level.

After the completion of the MA Urdu programme, students will be able to imbibe the proper knowledge of the literary and linguistic aspects of Urdu. He will also be able to get employment opportunities as Urdu assistants, associates, translators and Urdu officers in the government and public sectors. Post Graduate students with proper communication skills of the language having a sound literary approach will be able to be associated with media houses -- both print and electronic.

The courses are designed to introduce the study of translation. This is offered as both English to Urdu and vice versa. Courses aim at equipping students with translation theory and practical translation as needed.
COURSE.PO :
The completion of the PG Diploma in Urdu Translation programmes will develop an understanding of Urdu Translation among students, both theoretically and practically. This will also enhance employability at both the private and government levels. Upon the completion of PG diploma in Urdu Translation, a student can go on to pursue higher studies in the fields of translation and education.
