After completing his MBBS from J.N. Medical College, A.M.U., Aligarh, he joined the department of Radiodiagnosis, A.M.U., He also worked as Senior Resident and later worked as Consultant Radiologist in Delhi. He later joined the Department as Assistant Professor. He has keen interest in research and teaching activities of the department and has various publications to his credit.
