Dr Mohammad Umar Raza is well known as Umar Raza. After 10+2, he completed BA(Hons) Urdu from JMI, New Delhi. Dr. Raza completed his MA(Urdu), MPhil(Urdu) and PhD from JNU, New Delhi. During his research he awarded fellowship from UGC. He has teaching and research experiences. Taught Urdu Literature to B. A. (Urdu) in Kirori Mal College (University Of Delhi), Delhi and M.A. (Urdu) in CIL/SLL&CS/JNU, New Delhi. Worked as Sr. Linguist (Urdu) on the Research Project entitled "Indian Languages Corpora Initiative (Urdu), sanctioned by DIT (Ministry of Communication and Information Technology) from May 2009 to 21st October 2014. Dr. Raza is authored a number of books and articles on Ali Sardar Jafri and other topics.
