In the last 33 years of my teaching carrier, I have been particularly interested in Urdu Prose: Non Fiction. It may be treated as my specialisation.
Apart from teaching and supervising the students of under graduate/post graduate/M.Phil and Ph.D.; I have been pursuing my research work in various field of Urdu literature.
I have published three original works in book form, two books are based on my self composed poetry, and have edited and annotated two books in which one is my Ph.D. Thesis of Persian and another one is based on selected articles/Essays of Prof. Rasheed Ahmad Siddiqi, which is prescribed in the syllabi of various Universities.
Number of my articles is around thirty, which have been published in leading Journals of India, Pakistan and America which includes Ghalib Nama (New Delhi), Qaumi Zaban (Karachi), Tahqiq (Sindh University, Jamshoro, Pakistan), Almas (Research Journal Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Pakistan), Irtikaz (Karachi), Sir Syed Day Magazine (New York), Fikr-o-Nazar (Aligarh), Alfaz (Karachi), Adeeb (Aligarh), Idrak (Gopalpur) and Ahang (Gaya), Khudabakhsh Library Journal (Patna) etc.
