“Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth” Awareness Programme S.T.S. SCHOOL (MINTO CIRCLE)
S.T.S. School organized multiple awareness
programmes themed (Transform India’s growth story, Thriving and sustainable
Economy, Empowered Indians will make Indian an Empowered Nation) on the initiative
taken by the Government of India-Viksit Bharat @ 2047- Voice of Youth. An awareness
program regarding ‘Viksit Bharat’ was conducted during morning assembly to
motivate students to share their innovative ideas on the portal provided by
Government of India. The message emphasized the importance of contributing to
the nation’s development. Posters and Banners were displayed in the school
premises and the message was circulated through different social media sites
like Whatsapp, Gmail, etc. Selfies were also taken and uploaded to spread the
awareness among youth. The whole procedure was explained and the proper
training of the registration process was given through PPT slides in the A.V.
Lab.
Mr. Faisal Nafis,
Principal, S.T.S. School in his message motivated the students for the active
participation in the drive launched by the Government of India, as the main aim
of the drive is to encourage active participation, foster creativity and
empower students to contribute their thoughts for a progressive India.

Career Guidance, Scholarship Awareness, Motivation and Study Skills Workshop at S.T.S. School 2023

A two days long
workshop on Career Guidance, Scholarship Awareness, Motivation and Study Skills
started at S.T.S. School, AMU for Class-X and XII students in collaboration
with LIT, Cigma and E&E Pvt. Ltd. under the auspices of Directorate of
School Education. With the plethora of career and scholarship options available
in contemporary times, the role of such workshops becomes indispensible. It
becomes more significant to motivate the students and inculcate in them study
skills for the pursuit of their desired career.
Mr.
Faisal Nafis, Principal S.T.S. School in his opening speech welcomed and
thanked the Chief Guest of the event Mr. Asfar Ali Khan, Director, Directorate
of School Education for gracing the event with his benign presence and blessing
the students with such type of must required workshop. He also welcomed Mr.
Ameen-E-Mudassar and Mrs. Fawzia Tarannum (Resource persons of the workshop)
for conducting such workshops and facilitating AMU School Students with career
counseling & scholarship awareness which is the need of the hour. He
motivated the students to pursue their interests. He urged them to love and
respect their goals. They should develop intrinsic motivation, work sincerely
with perseverance and leave no stone unturned to achieve their goals.
Mr.
Asfar Ali Khan (Chief Guest of the event) in his presidential address
appreciated the initiative taken by LIT Cigma and E&E Pvt. Ltd. He also
appreciated AMU Schools for showing interest in this workshop in the interest
of students. He emphasized on motivation to be the first thing required for
getting succeed. He motivated the students for developing reading habit. He
urged them to nurture their Intelligence Quotient, Adversity Quotient, Social
Quotient and Emotional Quotient to be successful in their lives.
Resource
person Mr. Ameen-E-Mudassar initiated the workshop and tried to make students
understand what real motivation is. A burning desire to get anything is the real
motivation. With the help of power point presentation, moral stories and
incentives he motivated the students. He further emphasized that one must have
in-depth knowledge of the choices lest one might end up in career that is not
made for one. It is common among students to get influenced by misinformation
and end up making wrong decision. He advised the students not to make decision
based on peer pressure. He asked them to be good in their subject, develop
communication skills and positive attitude. Students were made aware of the
different options in profession and courses they could pursue based on the
subject choices they would make.
Students
of S.T.S. School, Syed Hamid Senior Secondary School and R.M.P.S. AMU City
School attended this workshop and took active participation in it as they were
free to raise their questions and express their point of views and opinions. The
same workshop in its next phases will also address parents and teachers.

(Cultural Coordinator) under the guidance of Principal Mr. Faisal Nafis.

Constitution Day Celebrations at S.T.S. School 2023
29th November, 2023, S.T.S School, AMU, Aligarh
29.11.2023, Constitution Day ‘Samvidhan Diwas’ celebrated on 26th
November 2023 at S.T.S. School (Minto Circle), AMU, Aligarh to commemorate the
adoption of the constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the
Constituent Assembly of India adopted the constitution of India, which came
into effect on 26 January 1950. This year the Constitution Day is celebrated on
the subject of “India-the mother of Democracy”.
The principal, staff and students read the
preamble online to reaffirm the commitment to uphold it and also participated
in Online Quiz Competition through web portal regarding Constitution of India.
An extension lecture was also organized in relation to the Constitution
Day. Guest speaker Prof. Mohammad Mohibul Haque of Department of Political
Science AMU, enlightened the students with the uniqueness of Indian
Constitution.
He also discussed
fundamental rights along with fundamental duties. He further added that the
Indian Constitution is one of the biggest constitutions in the world because
the creator of the constitution took essence from America, British and Japanese
Constitution. He emphasized on how Indian Constitution is better than the
constitution of other countries. Students enthusiastically took part in question-and-answer
session.
Mr. Faisal
Nafis, principal STS School in his address said that this day aims to mark the
significance of Constitutional values and to bring awareness of the importance
of the Indian Constitution and its architect, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The national
constitution day stands as a day for celebration of India’s success as the
biggest democratic and secular nation around the world.
The
lecture was organized by Mr. Nooruzzama Arshad and compared by Mrs. Ghazala
Tanvir under guidance of Dr. Tanweer Husain Khan and Ms. Nasreen Fatima
(Cultural Coordinator).
Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, 25 November 2023

organised events on the occasion of 3rd
Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas which
is celebrated on the birth anniversary of great and iconic tribal leader Birsa
Munda.
School paid tribute to this leader
and other unsung tribal heroes of freedom movement to bring awareness about the
struggle and sacrifices of these freedom fighters. Students of S.T.S. School
participated in different activities organized during the said period. They
threw light on the immense contribution and sacrifices which tribal did for
freedom movement and conservation of water, land and forest. Special emphasis
was given on the protection and development of their lives, lifestyles and
languages.
To celebrate Indian tribes and
Janjatiya Gaurav Divas, in the series of events program was declared open by
the school principal Mr. Faisal Nafis. In his opening speech he shared his real
life experiences about the bravery, strength and helping nature of the tribal.
He also appreciated the initiative taken by the govt. of India for the efforts
made in the direction of their upliftment and bringing them to main stream. He
also mentioned the special contribution of Birsa Munda and his efforts to
mobilise the tribal community against colonial rule and their laws. Under his
great leadership tribal felt safe and protected.
An outreach activity was arranged to give the students a
glimpse of tribal life.
On 21st of November an
extensive plantation drive was organised. On Painting, Art &Craft
Competitions were organised under guidance of Art teachers. Paintings and Works
of Crafts were displayed. On 22ndof November a lecture was delivered
by Mr. Nooruzzama Arshad on Birsa Munda and other tribal heroes. He also made
mention of those tribal achievers who despite of odds and adversities achieved
great milestones.
In the morning assembly on 25th
November a Nukkad Natak related to tribal development was presented by school
students. On the same day a Quiz competition organised. Students very
enthusiastically took part in these activities. The program proved to be a
great experience for students as well as teachers.

Special Assembly on Children’s Day, 14th Nov'2023

A
vibrant and engaging Special Assembly was conducted by teachers at S.T.S.
School to celebrate Children’s Day. The assembly was led by enthusiastic
teachers, who aimed to create a joyful and memorable experience for the
students.
The
assembly commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran and its translation by
Dr. Md. Irfan subsequently the thought for the day was presented by Mrs. Nazia
Siyar Shamim, Mr. Farhan Habib read the news to make everyone aware about
current happenings around us. Mr. Nooruzzama Arshad threw light on the life and
Principles of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. The first Prime Minister of India. In
the end Mrs. Alema Haseen presented a beautiful prayer song.
Mr.
Faisal Nafis, Principal S.T.S. School in his address highlighted the importance
of healthy body & mind and educational space for all children. It served as
a reminder of the importance of nurturing the holistic development of children
in a supporting environment. He stressed about physical health alongwith mental
health.
Dr. Sadat Suhail conducted
the morning assembly. The sweets were also distributed to students.
REPORT Sir Syed Day Celebrations 2023 Inter School Quiz Competition
S.T.S. School (Minto Circle) conducted an Inter
School Quiz Competition on topic ‘Sir
Syed and Aligarh Movement’ in Audio Visual Lab of the school. The students
from AMU schools participated in the competition.
The quiz competition on ‘Sir Syed Ahmad and Aligarh movement’
was an intellectually stimulating event that aimed to celebrate and promote the
life and contribution of one of the most prominent figures in Indian history-
Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. The competition followed a structured format which included
written round, Warm up round, Do you know, Visual, Literature, True and False
type questions. Participants were divided into teams and each team was given
the opportunity to answer the questions related to Sir Syed Ahmad Khan’s life,
his educational reforms and the impact of the Aligarh Movement on the society.
Dr. Naila Rashid, Principal, Ahmadi School For Visually Challenged, AMU graced the occasion as special guest. She in her address said that while participating in these competitions; focus should not only be on victory but on personality development that comes taking part in such activities.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal, S.T.S. School congratulated the winners of the Quiz competition and encouraged the students to develop rational thinking. He said that competitions are not just about winning or losing, they are about the journey, the learning, and the experience.

School.

Thrilling Victory of STS School (Minto Circle) G-20 Cricket Open Tournament
STS school (Minto Circle) conquered the winner’s trophy and championship in G-20 Cricket Open Tournament by 4 runs organized by Aligarh College of Education and Aligarh College of Engineering and Management. The final match was played between STS School and Department of Physical Education Cricket Academy. In a nail-biting match, STS School emerged victorious by a margin of 4 runs.STS School started their innings with confidence, putting up a competitive total of 128 runs in 14 overs. Key performances included 40 runs scored by Master Daksh Pratap Singh and 22 runs scored by Master Arsheel . It was the tense battle between the bat and ball as the opposition tried to reach the target.
Master Amir Ali was awarded ‘The Man of the Match’ for his outstanding performance in the final match. He took 3 wickets and concedes 10 runs in 3 overs. Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan was adjudged as ‘Man of the series’ for his exceptional batting display. He took 8 wickets and scored 52 runs in 2 innings. STS School’s triumph in G-20 Cricket Open Tournament was a testament to their skills and determination.
An atmosphere of excitement and anticipation filled the school premises as the students and teachers gathered to witness the felicitation of the school’s cricket team.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal, STS School took the stage to honour and celebrate the achievements of the talented cricketers who had brought glory to the school. He acknowledged the significance of sports in student’s life. He also emphasized the importance of sports and games in nurturing discipline, team work and leadership skills and how it complements academics. He distributed certificates, medals, and the championship trophy to the players. He also congratulated the sports teachers (Mr. Mohd Adnan Khan, Mr. Mohammad Asim and Dr. Zeeshan Haider) for their hardwork and the proper guidance provided to students by them.

Sir Syed Day Celebrations, 17th October 2023 @STS School
S.T.S. School, AMU Aligarh celebrated Sir Syed Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. A series of programs were organized on the occasion of Sir Syed Day Celebration in the central lawn of the school. The event was graced with the presence of esteemed guests Mr. Ahmad Ullah Khan, District Judge, Family court, Aligarh was the chief guest of the function Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi, Health Officer, AMU, Aligarh marked his presence as Guest of Honour. Many retired teachers took part in the programme as well Prof. Asfar Ali Khan, Director, Directorate of School Education also graced the function. Sir Syed Day function held at central lawn was a night filled with melodious and soulful performances. The Ghazals, Songs and Qawwali presentations left the audience enthralled and captivated. The tableau represented the importance of education and Sir Syed’s Mission.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal, S.T.S. School welcomed the guests and expressed views on the importance of Sir Syed’s life and his teachings in present era. He also threw light on the significance and relevance of Sir Syed’s ideals in connection with NEP-2020.
Dr. Ali Jafar Abedi, in his address stressed upon to carry forward the legacy of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan and also inspired them to strive for learning and growth in life without degrading moral and values.
The Chief Guest Mr. Ahmad Ullah Khan, shared his Journey with students. He also put emphasis to be human first. He encouraged the students to do hard work.

Report on Celebration of ‘Unity Day’ 31 October 2023
S.T.S School celebrated ‘Unity Day’ on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on 31st October 2023. National Unity week was observed and various activities were conducted like ‘Run for Unity’, Quiz competition, Essay writing competition, etc. ‘Run for Unity’ was aimed to promote national unity and integration. The students of S.T.S school, teaching and non-teaching staff enthusiastically participated in it.
The events started at 8:00 a.m. in the school premises. Mr Faisal Nafis, Principal S.T.S School administered the oath to protect the integrity of India. He said in his address that Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel who is known as ‘Iron man of India’ played the significant role in India's independence. He also remembered Sardar Patel tenuous efforts and reiterated that the young citizens must ensure the unity of the nation at all cost. After the pledge the Unity March proceeded from the school main gate. The students were holding the banners and slogans in their hands. The program was culminated by thoughtful and inspirational messages about national harmony, peace and unity. Mr Mohammad Adnan Khan, Mr. Mohammad Asim and Mr. Zeeshan Haider played a pivotal role in arranging the ground activities.

School (Minto Circle) A.M.U. along with Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff and Students of the school proudly connected via Live Streaming of G-20 University Connect Finale held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event was broadcasted live through NIC. The event was addressed by Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He interacted with the Vice-Chancellors, Principals, Faculty Members and students of the universities, colleges and schools. Prime Minister threw light on the consequences of G-20 Summit. He talked about Policy Agreements, as these agreements can have a significant impact on international policies and regulations. He added that it is strengthening the bilateral relationships, leading to potential improvements on tensions in diplomatic relationships. The Summit’s outcomes can shape public perception of the participant’s leaders and their ability to address global challenges effectively. He also discussed several advantages as G-20 brings together the world’s major economies to discuss and coordinate economic policies, fostering stability and growth.
In his address he said that leaders can engage in open discussions, sharing ideas and best practices for economic development and governance. By discussing geopolitical issues, it helps prevent conflicts that could disrupt the global economy. The students of S.T.S. School listened to the Prime Minister very enthusiastically and showed their keen interest to participate actively in Global growth.

Inter School Science Exhibition in connection with India’s Presidency in G-20.
S.T.S. School organized the Inter School Science Exhibition in connection with India’s Presidency in G-20.
This Science Exhibition was a remarkable event that showcased innovative ideas and projects related to the themes, ‘Save Environment’ ‘Energy Conservation’ and to Promote Organic Farming’. The Primary theme of the exhibition ‘Save Environment emphasized the importance of environmental conservation and sustainable practices, with ‘Energy Conservation’ focused on finding innovative solutions to reduce energy consumption. The students from different AMU School displayed their innovation and creativity in form of Working Models, Non-Working Models and Charts.
Prof. Asfar Ali Khan, Director, DOSE was the Chief Guest and Prof. Abid Ali Khan, Deputy Director, DOSE was the Guest of Honor and Mrs. Amna Malik, Coordinator, G-20 Events was also present in the Science Exhibition.

The Science Exhibition themed on ‘Save Environment, Energy Conservation and to Promote Organic Farming’ was a rebounding success, offering valuables insights into innovative projects and ideas that can contribute to more sustainable future. It underscored the importance of collective efforts in addressing environment challenges and promoting responsible energy use. This event was a testament to the power of Science and technology in finding solutions to pressing global issues.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Asfar Ali Khan, in his address said that Science has always been a source of inspiration and innovation and events like these showcase the incredible potential of growing mind. He encouraged all the participants to continue exploring the wonders of Science. Mr. Faisal Nafis, Coordinator, Organizing Committee G-20 Events for AMU Schools presented the report of Inter and Intra School programs held at different schools of AMU. He also thanked the Principals of different schools for joining the event. He threw the light on themes of Science Exhibition. Mrs. Naushin Fatma welcomed the guests.

September, 2023 S.T.S. School started Swachhata Pakhwada 2023 with full fervor
and enthusiasm. To spread the message of cleanliness among the student and
staff members, Swachhata Pakhwada Pledge was administered by the Principal Mr
Faisal Nafis to students and teaching staff members in the morning assembly.
In
his address Principal Mr. Faisal Nafis, asked the school fraternity to strictly
follow the personal hygiene on daily basis and also actively contribute in
cleaning of surrounding area and act rationally to save the environment.
A
special lecture was delivered by Dr. Sadat Suhail during morning assembly on
the importance of cleanliness and its effect on the health and life of people.
To promote the theme of swachhata pakhwada 2023 “Waste To Wealth”. He also emphasized how our acts of cleanliness
save our resources and environment.
Later
on, a massive cleanliness drive was conducted by the students and staff inside
the school campus under the guidance of Principal.
Afterwards,
student, staff and Principal also swear in E-Pledge to devote themselves for Swachhata mission.

National Sports Day @STS School AMU Aligarh
S.T.S.
School Celebrated National Sports Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. Various
sports programs were organized in the school on National Sports Day to pay tribute
to hockey legend Major. Dhyan Chand, who was born on this date in 1905. All the
games were organized in school playground and students participated according
to their interest. Tug of War, Athletic Events, Volley Ball and Hockey matches
were arranged for the students of secondary section. Two teams i.e. Team Green
and Team Red were the finalists and Team Red won the final. Sports teachers of
S.T.S. School Mr. Adnan Khan, Mr. Mohammad Asim and Dr. Zeeshan Haider played
an important role in organizing all events successfully. Mr. Faisal Nafis,
Principal S.T.S School said that games are essential for healthy development in
early childhood and beyond. He added that sports and games are crucial in
overall development of a child. He also remembered the Khel Ratna awardee Major.

In S.T.S. School, the live telecast of landing of Chandrayan-3 on Moon was screened for students teachers and non-teaching staff in various places like Audio-Visual Lab, Computer Lab and Common Room. The special arrangements were made to witness this historical moment. When ISRO confirmed that Chandrayan-3’s Lander had successfully touched down in the Moon’s Southern Pole Region, then the whole fraternity of S.T.S. School erupted with joy and celebrated this proud moment.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal, S.T.S. School expressed his extreme happiness on this great achievement. He said that it is a proud moment for every Indian that our scientists have created a history regarding an ambitious journey to reach the Moon, achieving soft landing and wide range of exploring lunar surface and are ready to reveal the secrets of Moon by collecting valuable data. The students, teachers and non-teaching staff attended and witnessed the live- stream of Chandrayan-3’s lunar landing with great enthusiasm. National Flag Hosting Ceremony on 15th Aug 2023
STS School celebrated Independence Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. The program started at 09:00 am with unfurling of the flag. The Flag was unfurled by Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal STS School followed by National Anthem “ Jan Gan Man” with pride and patriotism.
A series of cultural programs were organized with the inaugural address by vice Principal Mr. Mohd. Tariq. Master Sarwar Alam of Class- XII delivered speech in Urdu, Master Manya Gupta of Class X-A1 delivered speech in English and Master Praveen Kumar of Class- X-A3 also delivered speech in Hindi. The students of primary section presented a dance and a patriotic song to show their love & emotions to salute the nation on Independence Day. Students of secondary section showed their emotions in the form of Nukkad Natak and yoga. Mass PT was presented to show the physical and mental well being of students under the guidance of Mr. Mohd. Adnan Khan, Mr. Mohammad Asim & Mr. Zeeshan Haider.

'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' Ministry of Education - 14 August 2023
S.T.S. School organised a programme and an exhibition on - ' Partition Horrors Remembrance Day '- 14 August. The program was started by throwing the light on the lives of freedom fighters. One lecture was delivered by Mr. Nooruzama Arshad. He briefly introduced the purpose of exhibition and threw light on the past events regarding 1947- effects of Partition. Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal STS School spoke on the significance of this day. He shared his thoughts on the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. He also stressed upon to remember the contribution of unsung heros of the independence movement. The important pictures and news related to the partition of 1947 were displayed in the exhibition. The curtains of the past were raised to aware the students about the tragedy and agony of the partition. S.T.S. School embraced the spirit of unity by participating in 'Har Ghar Tiranga and Meri Maati Mera Desh Campaign.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal S.T.S. School administered the ' Panch Pran pledge' to the students along with teachers. He also encouraged students to show values and respect for their roots. Students understood the concept of Meri Maati Mera Desh and displayed their love and respect for their country by holding diyas and maati in their hands. All the students and teachers enthusiastically participated in the campaign to ignite patriotic fervour in education and disseminated a strong message of protecting Motherland and the spirit of unity. 29th August, 2023 S.T.S. School, the live telecast of AKHIL BHARTIYA SIKSHA SAMAGAM 2023, interactive session with Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi was screened for students of hostels at 10:00 a.m. in the school in various places like Audio Visual Lab, and Common Room. Special arrangements were also incorporated including public address system, so that the whole school fraternity could be benefited by such an informative programme. It was one and half hour interaction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with students, parents and teachers. It was a special initiative of Prime Minister to apprise students about new education policy. The Vice Principal Mr. Mohd Tariq looks after the arrangement for the screening of programme and ensured that maximum students could watch the event in relaxed and peaceful environment. On this occasion he addressed the students and urged them to watch the live interaction ‘Akhil Bhartiya Siksha Samagam 2023’. The principal also enlightened them to adopt a smart and innovative approach for developing regular study practices. He also motivated the students to implement the various tips offered by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi Ji.

Report on Inter School Debate Competition -2023 G-20 Programs, AMU Schools, Aligarh
STS School (Minto Circle) conducted an Inter-School Debate Competition in two categories i.e. Junior category and Senior Category on topics “Over dependency on electronic devices is affecting innate creativity of teenagers” and “Individuals than Corporations are more at Fault For Climate Change” in Audio Visual Lab of the school. The students from all AMU Schools participated in the competition.
The prime motto of organizing English Debate competition was to create awareness regarding G-20 Summit. The topics of debate had been selected according to agenda of G-20 Summit. The students presented their views in favour and against the given topics. All the students were nicely prepared and presented their arguments forcefully.
The event was graced by Prof. Asfar Ali Khan, Director, DOSE, AMU Aligarh as Chief Guest. The event was judged by Dr. Safia Akhtar Kazmi, Associate Professor, Electrical Engineering, ZHCET, AMU, Aligarh and Dr. Sadaf Fareed, Assistant Professor, Department of English, Women’s College, AMU Aligarh. Prof. Afsar Ali Khan in his address threw the light on G-20 Summit and emphasized to create awareness regarding G-20 agenda and themes.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal, STS School and Co-ordinator of organizing committee of AMU Schools, G-20 Summit, congratulated the winners for their active participation and said it is the proud moment for us that India is leading the G-20 Summit and he stressed upon that India come out a power to reckon post this summit.
The students participated in this event with enthusiasm.

Martyrs Day 2023 @ S.T.S School AMU Aligarh
30th January, 2023 STS School, AMU Aligarh. Martyrs Day was observed at STS School, AMU Aligarh with great solemnity.
To pay homage to the Martyrs who gave their lives in the struggle for India’s freedom, two minutes silence was observed at 11:00 a.m. The special program of speech cum talk session was organised in the audio-visual lab of STS School to bring awareness about the importance of this occasion among students.
In his speech Mr. Nooruzzama Arshad talked about life and dreams of Mahatma Gandhi. He quoted various preaching of Gandhi Ji. Role and importance of Satyagrah.
He highlighted the topics like, why do we observe Martyr’s Day? What is the role of Mahatma Gandhi in the National Movement? Gandhi's relevance in the present context. He also discussed the Aligarh's Syed Mohammad Tonki and Hasrat Mohani’s role in National Movement. A short film on Gandhi Ji was also shown to the students in the Audio-visual lab of STS School AMU Aligarh.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal presided the programme. In his address he urged the students to follow the path of non violence. He also put emphasis to work hard to established peace, prosperity and harmony in the family, society, country and the world as a whole. He added that in today’s world, it is very essential that one must developed tolerance to listen to others point of view. He further said that you must remain positive, save time, learn things from situation and important be your own competitor.

Inter School Hindi Debate Competition @S.T.S School AMU Aligarh
January 31st, 2023, STS SCHOOL, AMU Aligarh, organized an inter-school debate competition on the topic “Machiney Yug Ne Manav Kay Mahatva Ko Samapt Kar Diya Hai” in audio-visual lab of STS school AMU Aligarh. The students from AMU Schools take part in the competition.
STS
school organized the Debate competition to promote problem solving and
innovative thinking in students and help student to build link between words
and ideas that make concept more meaningful. Debate also teaches to synthesize
complex information and to exercise creativity and implement different ways of
knowing. It also engages students through self-reflection and gives them chance
to learn from their peers
Dr. Gulam Farid Sabri and Dr. Shahbaz Ali Khan of department of Hindi, AMU
Aligarh judged the Competition.
The students of different AMU Schools actively took part in the competition and
put forth their views for and against the motion.
First position was won by Master Praveen Kumar of class IX A3 of STS School.
Second Prize goes to Manya Gupta of
class IX A1 of STS School.
Third Prize was shared by Arpana Bharadwaj
of class IX B from AMU City Girl’s High school and Lipi Lavanya Bharadwaj of class IX C from AMU Girl’s School.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal STS School presided the event and in his address
said that we must develop understanding among the students that they would not
fully depend over machines but use them judicially. He threw light on the benefits
of debates including gaining broad knowledge cutting across several disciplines,
outside the learner’s normal academic subjects.
It improves learner’s confidence and self-esteem.

30th, January 2023 S.T.S. School (Minto Circle) conducted an Inter- School Debate Competition on the theme 'Over- Expectations of Parents adversely affect their children's performance' in Audio- Visual Lab, of the school. The students from all AMU schools participated in the competition.
The aim of organizing English Debate Competition was to enhance the public speaking skills of the students and guide them to articulate their thoughts and expressions while expressing themselves. The students presented their views in favour and against the given topic. All the participants were nicely prepared and presented their arguments well.
The event was judged by Dr. Muneer
Aram Kuzhiyan, Assistant Professor, Department of English, AMU Aligarh and Dr.
Md. Danish Iqbal, Assistant Professor, Department of English, AMU, Aligarh. The
event was presided over by Mr.Faisal Nafis,(Principal) S.T.S. School. He in his
address congratulated the students for their active participation and said that

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION-2023 @S.T.S School AMU Aligarh
January 26th, 2023 S.T.S School Celebrated Republic Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. The Program started at 08:45a.m. with flag hoisting. The flag was hoisted by the Chief Guest Prof. Hammad Usmani, Director M.A.S., Guest of Honour Prof. Anwar Shahzad and Principal Mr. Faisal Nafis, followed by National Anthem “Jan Gan Man” with pride and patriotism.
The Chief guest and Guest of Honour inspected the parade. The NCC cadets and scouts marched on the beats of drum and gave guard of honour to the dignitaries.
A series of cultural programs were

the form of pantomime. The colours of Punjab were displayed by energetic
students through Bhangra. A healthy nation is always a wealthy nation. To put
emphasis on physical and mental well being, the students of S.T.S. school
displayed their energy in Mass P.T. and Yoga. The Principal Mr Faisal Nafis in
his speech, put emphasis to incorporate
values and respect the constitution . He also added that we should
always fulfil our duties towards our
nation . The Chief Guest Prof. Hammad
Usmani in his address talked about the significance of constitution and urged
to believe in the social justice, liberty of thought & expression, equality
of status and of opportunity. The Guest of Honour Prof. Anwar Shahzad
congratulated the participants for their efforts and captivating performances.
The house masters of different houses played an important role in preparing the
students for various cultural programmes.

Special arrangements were also incorporated including public address system, so that the whole school fraternity could be benefited by such an informative programme. It was two hour interaction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with students, parents and teachers on various exam related issues. It was a special initiative of Prime Minister to de-stressed the students appearing for board exams. The Principal Mr. Faisal Nafis himself look after the arrangement for the screening of programme and ensured that maximum students could watch the event in relaxed and peaceful environment. On this occasion he addressed the students and urged them to watch the live interaction ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023’. year, the whole Nation celebrating the Birthday Anniversary of Netaji Subhash
Chandra Bose, on 23 January as a 'Prakaram Diwas’ under the aegis of 'Azadi ka
Amrit Mahotsav. In this connection, STS School (Minto Circle), AMU, Aligarh
also celebrated the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose with zeal
and enthusiasm.
STS School organized a lecture in AV Lab on ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and his contribution to India's Freedom Struggle’
Mr. Faisal Nafis (Principal, of STS School) chaired the session. In his message, he emphasized the importance of Netaji’s contribution in India’s independence. He urged students to stay positive and keep doing what they can do for studies, society and nation just like Subhash Chandra Bose. In his eloquent manner he advised the students to imbibe the quality, values and thoughts of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in our life.
While addressing the students Mr. Nooruzzama Arshad highlights Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and his contribution to India’s Freedom Struggle in detail. Further in his lecture added that Subhash Chandra Bose was a man of unmatched determination and courage who dedicated his life to the cause of Indian independence and made significant contribution to the freedom struggle. His achievements must be known to everyone.

The House Masters and newly elected Post Holders were conferred with Flags, Badges and Sashes of their respective houses from the Chief Guest, Principal and Vice- Principal.
The Chief Guest administered the Oath to the Post Holders and asked them to abide by the rules of house system of the school.
The Chief Guest, Prof. Abid Ali Khan congratulated all the Post Holders and wished them good luck. He also guided them to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities.

CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATIONS 26th NOVEMBER 2022@S.T.S SCHOOL ALIGARH
28.11.2022, Constitution Day ‘Samvidhan Diwas’ celebrated on 26th November 2022 at S.T.S. School (Minto Circle), AMU, Aligarh to commemorate the adoption of the constitution of India. On 26th November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the constitution of India, which came into effect on 26 January 1950. This year the Constitution Day is celebrated on the subject of “India-the mother of Democracy”.

Teachers and students participated in Constitution Day Celebration with zeal.
As an important part Principal, teachers and students
read the preamble to reaffirm the commitment to uphold it. Many teachers and

JANJATIYA GAURAV DIWAS 2022 @S.T.S. School Aligarh
15th November 2022, S.T.S. School, AMU Aligarh celebrated Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas to pay tribute to the unsung tribal heroes of the freedom movement in India to bring awareness about the struggle and sacrifices of these freedom fighters, Students of S.T.S. School participated in event, threw light on the life of tribals that the tribal heroes not only contributed immensely to the freedom struggle but also made an important contribution to the protection of water, forest & land.
Mr.Faisal Nafis, Principal S.T.S. School shared his real life experiences about the bravery, strength helping nature of tribals. He also appreciated the initiative taken by the govt. of India for the efforts made in the direction of upliftment of the tribals and bringing them to the main stream. He also mentioned the special contribution of Birsa Munda and his efforts of mobilizing the tribal community against Britishers and also forcing the colonial officials to introduce laws protecting the land right of the tribal.

Mr. Jitendra Kumar, Assistant Commandant, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), an alumnus visited S.T.S. School.Mr. Jitendra Kumar
interacted with students and motivated them to dream more, learn more and do
more. He incorporated the value of time and discipline in his address. He said
that discipline is the key to achievement. He also cleared many queries and
doubts of students. He focused on key-point-discipline in student life means
working with all honesty with strict adherence to rules and regulations,
cultural standards and values.

17th August 2022, the Vigilance Awareness Week was observed from 31st
October to 15th November 2022 on the theme “Corruption Free India
for a Developed Nation”.
S.T.S. School (Minto Circle), AMU organized the Vigilance Awareness Week from 31st October to 15th November 2022 to mark the birth anniversary of Sadar Vallabh Bhai Patel and to bring Social Awareness among the students. In this connection, school organized various activities during Vigilance Awareness Week sensitizing the students on this issue.

CHILDREN’S DAY-2022 CELEBRATIONS @S.T.S. SCHOOL AMU
Children’s Day was celebrated at S.T.S. School with full zeal and enthusiasm. A group of teachers prepared the morning assembly to show love and care to their beloved students with the theme ‘Divine and blessing’.
Through speech Dr. Mohd. Omar threw the light on the life of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru and the importance of Children’s Day celebration. Prayer song & group song were sung by the teachers to express their love, gratitude towards the almighty.
Sports activities were also organized in the school premises to boost the moral & strength of the students to inculcate the importance of sports in students’ life.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal S.T.S. School, in his address, described the true meaning of childhood. He also added to remain pure, honest & innocent throughout the life like a child. He also emphasized that students must give time to sports to maintain a balance between mind & body for the all-round development of personality to become a rational citizen in coming life to build a strong nation.

A lecture on life of Sir
Syed Ahmad Khan was organized at S.T.S. School. Key note speak, Prof. M. Shafey
Kidwai, Department of Mass Communication, AMU Aligarh talked on the life and
vision of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. He threw light on different movements and also
shared the impact of those movements. Prof. Kidwai added that Sir Syed’s main
aim was to promote and maintain the economic and political significance of the
Muslim community. He said that Sir Syed was against narrow-mindedness and
fanaticism.
Mr. Faisal Nafis, Principal S.T.S. School in his address, motivated students to
create freedom of thoughts and develop a critical approach. He also encouraged
students to adopt upgraded learning methods as it is the only way to achieve
enlightenment.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY CELEBRATIONS @ S.T.S School AMU
29th August 2022, STS School celebrated
National Sports Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. Various sports programs were
organised by school sports section on National Sports Day to pay tribute to
hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand who was born on this date in 1905. All the
games were organised in school playground and students participated according
to their interests. Hockey and Football matches were played among students of
secondary section followed by Tug Of
War. Sports teachers of STS school Mr Mohd Adnan Khan, Mr Mohammad Asim and Mr
Azeem Hameed played an important role in organising all events successfully. At
the end, Mr Mohd Tariq Vice-Principal, STS School motivated the students and
advised everyone to participate in the field of sports and also told many

Students and teachers gathered to Mark 147 birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai
Patel with patriotic fervour. Principal Mr Faisal Nafis in his address lead
emphasis on the life and contribution of Sardar Patel. He also urged the
students to safeguard and uphold national unity above all the petty
considerations. He also administered Unity Pledge which was taken by the
students and staff members. To create awareness among the students and people a
Unity Run was organised. Students performed Patriotic Songs in
their melodious voice. Programme came to its close with National Anthem.

In specially conducted assemblies student delivered speech and present motivational thoughts, speeches and poems on the theme of personal hygiene and Swachhata Hi Seva Hai. Beautiful and inspiring handmade posters and play cards were also made by student and display during morning assemblies. A pledge was administered by principal and taken by student and staff to keep their school, houses and surrounding clean. Students voluntarily offered there Shramdan to school. They clean and decorate their classrooms themselves. Prices were also given to the most neat and tidy classrooms. Hand washing Demos were also given to the students. In community outreach program students of senior classes visited nearby locality and create awareness for cleanliness and hygiene. Principal,
Mr Faisal Nafis in his address congratulated students for their initiative. He further suggested them that they should keep themselves and their neighbourhood neat and clean. He further added that for good health, it is very important for them to keep their school, houses and surrounding clean and free from all types of waste material, insects and stagnant water.

CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION @S.T.S School AMU ALIGARH
STS School, AMU Aligarh organized a career counselling
session for the student of class 10th on Friday, 16th
September 2022 in the audio visual Lab. With the plethora career options
available in the contemporary times, the role of career counselling session
become indispensable. The session was conducted by Training and Placement
Office (General)
AMU.
The resource person Mr Saad Hamid (Training and placement officer) in his session emphasize that one must have in- depth knowledge of the choices least one might end-up in a career that is not made for one. It is common among students to get influenced by misinformation and end up making wrong decisions. He advised the students not to make decision based on peer pressure. With the help of PowerPoint presentation and moral stories he motivated students. He asked them to be good in their subject, develop communication skills and positive attitude. Students were made aware of the different options in profession and courses they could pursue based on the subject choices they would make.
Principal Mr Faisal Nafis in his address encouraged the students to pursue their interests. He urged them to love and respect their goal. They should work sincerely and leave no stone upturned to achieve their goals.

CLOSING CEREMONY SWACHHATA PAKHWADA 2022 @S.T.S School AMU Aligarh
Various competition, like quiz, Essay Writing, Poster making, Slogan Writing, Letter Writing, classroom Decoration and Poem Writing were organized on different dates. Special morning assemblies dedicated to the cause of cleanliness and hygiene were conducted throughout this period. Beautiful and inspiring handmade posters and placards were displayed. Oath of Swachchta Hi Seva Hai and Shramdaan were also taken. Students of senior classes in community outreach program visited nearby locality to create awareness for cleanliness and hygiene. Hand washing demos were also given to the students.
Today a closing ceremony of this grand celebration was observed at the school. Prizes were given away to the winners of different activities. A pledge was administered by principal and taken by the students and staff to keeping their houses, school, work places and surroundings clean. They also pledged of motivating others to the cause of cleanliness, health and hygiene.
Principal Mr. Faisal Nafis, in his address commended the efforts of students and staff for this noble cause. He urged the students to make cleanliness a habit for their lifetime. He added that students shouldn’t litter here and there. For good health they should always keep their school, houses and surroundings clean and free from all types of waste material. He stressed upon the need to check water logging in and around the residential areas which allow the growth of insects and deadly bacteria.

Teachers’ Day Celebration @S.T.S School AMU Aligarh
September 5th, 2022. To honour and appreciate the role and efforts of teachers, a celebration was held at STS School (Minto Circle) on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. Programme started with the special assembly conducted by the school students on the theme of Teachers’ Day. Special assembly included speeches and poems in Hindi and English.
To show their gratitude to the steward of the ship students presented a bouquet and a very beautiful handcrafted greeting card to the principal. Students also gave away rose buds and handmade cards to all the teachers in the assembly.
In classroom activity Intra class speech, quiz, mimicry and singing competitions were organised. Students participated in these competitions with great fervour. Prizes were also given to the best performing students.
Dr. Tanweer Husain Khan, a senior teacher threw light on the life and works of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and explained the significance of teachers in a society.
Principal, Mr. Faisal Nafis in his address to the gathering said that teachers are nation builders. He asked the teachers to put in more of their efforts and update themselves with modern educational techniques and techonology. August 2022: STS School organised Nukkad Natak and skit to create
awareness among students. Nukkad Natak highlighted meaning off Azad by
emphasising that cleanliness, education, discipline, dignity, respect and
caring others is the actual meaning of freedom.
The students raised the curtain of the past and paid tribute to our freedom fighters in skit presentation. The students created awareness by holding slogans i.e., Digital India, Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao, Make in India, Jay Jawan, Jay Kisan, Jay vigyan Jay Anusandhan, Ek kadam Swachhata Ki Ore, New Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).
The principal Mr. Faisal Nafis encouraged
the students by giving the examples of our freedom fighters and emphasized that
every Indian should be aware of the struggle done by freedom fighters, who gave
their lives to free India from the clutches of the British rule.
He
also added that every citizen must show their active participation by following
the different campaigns initiated by Government of India to take our country to
the next level of progress, success and in the field of education, science and

The
Principal, staff and the students planted saplings in school premises to raise
awareness and consciousness about environment. Various saplings were planted
including Aloe Vera, Bottle Palm, Guava, Areca Palm and many more. The Principal
Mr Faisal Nafis motivated the students with his passionate words to plant more
trees in future. He also added that everyone must contribute in conserving the nature
and make earth liveable for future generations.

School Celebrated Independence Day with full zeal and enthusiasm. The Program started
at 09:05 a.m. with flag hoisting. The flag was unfurled by the Principal
Mr. Faisal Nafis, followed by National Anthem “Jana Gana Mana” with pride and

Observing Cyber Jaagrookta Diwas (CJD), 01.06.2022 Wednesday
As per the directives received from the
government of India through the Office of the Registrar General Section,
Aligarh Muslim University, D.No.153/Gen. dated 12.05.2022, regarding Observing Cyber
Jaagrookta Diwas (CJD) on the First Wednesday of every Month, STS School made
necessary arrangement in this regard. Our IT team prepared Power point
presentation on Cyber Crimes and Safety and explained it, to
the teaching staff of our school and made aware about the various cyber
security measures, which can be taken to avoid being a victim of Cyber Crime.

“AZADI KI AMRIT KAHANIYAN” under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav
GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION (2021) STS SCHOOL, AMU
October 2, 2021:
S.T.S. School organized a webinar on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on 2 October 2021 to celebrate 152nd birth anniversary of the ‘Father of the Nation’. All the members of the teaching staff and non- teaching staff were present in the webinar. To commemorate the day, and to instil the values and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, this virtual live meet had four distinguished speakers from amongst the school fraternity. The opening speech was delivered by the Vice-Principal Mr. Mohd Tariq, who laid emphasis on the life and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi. He also conveyed the message to follow the path of harmony and peace as preached by Mahatma Gandhi. Dr Tanweer Husian Khan, delivered a short engrossing speech explaining the moral values of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He also added that in the recent days of increasing communal and social tension, the ideas of reverend Gandhiji can show the way out and bring back harmony, peace and stability in the whole society. Eventually, the attendees were led to deeper thought and introspection by the comprehensive and insightful account of Gandhian life and philosophy by Mr Nooruzzama Arshad. He received great adulation for the well-researched account. In the end the gathering was addressed by the Principal, Mr Faisal Nafis who amalgamated the value points of all the speakers and brought the gathering to understand more about this iconic leader. In his eloquent manner he advised the gathering to imbibe Gandhian values and thoughts and reaffirm our belief in the said values every year. The speech ended with a patriotic feeling in the hearts of all staff members. Finally, as an oath of allegiance the Principal initiated the National Integration Pledge and the Sanitation Pledge which was taken by all the members. The event ended with the National Anthem. The program was conducted by the Cultural Coordinator of the School, Ms Nasreen Fatima. She also delivered the Vote of Thanks.
