She has completed her bachelor degree (BUMS) from Delhi University in 1980 and her Post Graduation in Moalejat discipline (MD Moalejat) from AMU Aligarh in 1989. Just after completing her Masters, appointed as a Lecturer in Moalejat, AKTC, AMU Aligarh,after That Reader and Professor in 1999 and 2007 respectively. By virtue of seniority and rotation she has joined as Dean of the Faculty in addition to other administrative assignments like Chair-person D/o Amaz-e-Jild wa Zohrawia, member of executive council, member of academic council, member of AMU court and Provost of Engineering Hall for girls. Apart from her administrative engagement she has actively contributed in academic activities both at under-graduate and post graduate level which is very obvious and reflects from her national and Iternational publications in reputed, peer reviewed journals, and her three books in the field of Moelejat and Amraz-e-Jild wa Zohrawia, and having remarkable impact in Unani discipline. Under her administrative skill the faculty has put several important milestones in academic, clinical and research activities. It is pertinent to mention that she is editor in-chief of UNI-MEDICUS an International peer review journal of Unani Medicine, published from AMU, Aligarh.
