Prof. Towqueer Alam Falahi, (Kormatthu, Sherghaty, Gaya, Bihar) after having received his early education, joined Jamiatul Falah, a renowned institution at Bilariaganj, Azamgarh (U.P.) from where, he obtained the degree of al-Almiah and al-Fa-dilah. In 1985, he came to Aligarh Muslim University, where he refined his learning, doing M.A., & M.Phil. in Arabic literature from the Department of Arabic, A.M.U., Aligarh. After that, he completed his Doctrate on 'The Holy Quran And The Orientalists' from the same Department After obtaining Doctrate, Prof. Alam joined as a Research Associate in the said Department. On 11th of May, 1993, he joined the Faculty of Theology as a Lecturer in Sunni Theology, A.M.U., Aligarh. On 29th Jan. 2004, he was promoted as Reader (on the cadre post). Now he is Professor in Sunni Theology since 29th jan.2010. Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. 188 research papers have been published and 28 research papers and articles are under publication in the journals of far repute in India and abroad. Monthly Maarif, Azamgarh, Quarterly Fikr-o-Nazar, Aligarh, Monthly Tahzeewul-Akhlaq, A.M.U., Aligarh, Monthly Zindagi-e-Nau, Delhi, Monthly Darul Uloom, Deoband, Monthly Muhaddis, Varanasi, Aasar-e-Jadid, Maunath Bhanjan, Rah-e-Amal, Iran Cultural House, New Delhi, Monthly Al-Rishad, Azamgarh, Monthly Hayat-e-Nau, Jamiatul Falah, Bilariganj, Azamgarh, Monthly Aaeen, Lahore, Monthly Hikmat-e-Quran, Lahore, Monthly Tarjuman al-Quran, Lahore, Journal of Pakistan Historical Society, Monthly Al-Haque, Pakistan , Monthly Al-Dawah, Pakistan, Monthly Saut al-Ummah, Varanasi, Saqafatul Hind, New Delhi and Fortnightly al Daai, Deoband, are, for instance, some leading magazines and journals in which the scholar's publications have been brought out. Research papers and invited lectures in in 185 Seminars/Conferences have been delivered. In April,2016, he visited Mercer University, Atlanta U.S.A as Visiting Professor. 30 books in Urdu, Arabic, English and Hindi have been published by the scholar, while 9 are under process of publication by the scholar. Prof. Alam, as a guest of British, Iran, Kuwait and U.S. governments, has been invited to participate in Seminars, Symposia and Dialogues. Quraniyat, Arabic Literature and Comparative Study of Religions are the areas of specialization in which Prof. Alam exhibits his creative endeavors. He has 26 years of teaching experience specially in Tafseer and Tarikh-e-Mazahib.
