Completed high school from prestigious C.M.S. girls high school, (Srinagar, Kashmir) in 1968 with distinction. Later B. Sc, M.Sc, M. Phil and Ph.D from Aligarh Muslim University in the year 1975, 1977, 1080 and 1986 respectively. M. Phil and Ph.D were submitted under renowned Plant Physiologist Prof. M.M.R.K Afridi while working on vegetables and plant nutrition, appointed as guest faculty in A.K. Tibbya College A.M.U and later as assistant and associate professor in Women's College A.M.U. During this period attended some conference and seminars and also presented Papers. Papers are published (Urban Water Journal, Publisher Taylor and Francis, African Journal of Plant Science and Pollution Research). One minor project was sanctioned by the University in which some field experiments were conducted on vegetables grown under wastewater and supplemented with flyash. The nutritionalneeds of the plants as well as to work out the problems of flyash disposal and recycling of wastewater was observed and results were published.
