Dr. Arshia Shafqat is Assistant Professor in History, Women's College, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. She has been teaching in the College since 2010. She did her B.A.(Hons.) in History and M.A. ( Medieval India Specialization) from A.M.U. Her Ph.D ( from Centre of Advanced Study in History, A.M.U. in 2009) is on 'Administration of Gujarat under the Mughals (AD 1572-1737). She has ten published papers to her credit. She was awarded Professor J.S. Grewal Prize for best paper in Medieval section at one of the sessions of the Indian History Congress. She has participated and presented more than fifteen papers at international and national seminars and conferences.
