Prof. Babu Bakhsh Mansuri (B.B. Mansuri) did his M.Com from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and D.Phil from University of Allahabad. His areas of research interest include Accounting and Finance. He remains actively involved in teaching post graduate and guiding Phd students in the Department of Commerce,Aligarh Muslim University,Aligarh. He has published research work in the Journals of National / International Repute Viz. Journal of Contemporary Research in Management, Asia Pacific Journal of Research in Business Management, Yojna, and Kurukshetra etc. Prof . Mansuri is Section In Charge of Commerce in Women's College. He is a member of Board of Studies in the Department of Commerce at Aligarh Muslim University,Aligarh. He is also in the panel of experts in various State Public Service Commissions and Universities. Prof. Mansuri is a receipient of Amity Excellance Award of Best Professor-2020 from Amity University, Noida. He has also taught Accounting & Auditing at the King Abdulaziz University(KAU) Saudi Arabia from 2015 t0 2018.
- Emerging Issues in Accounting for Intangible Assets , Intangible assets viz., patent, copyright, brands, goodwill, trademark and intellectual property and license have own importance in business entity to achieve enterprise goal. The purpose of intangible assets is to determine whether such assets represent some benefit or privilege in the business as they are least liquid. These assets are recorded on the basis of consistent with generally accurate accounting principles. Hence, intangible assets should be valued at cost and should appear in the balance Sheet at cost less any amount written off from year to year to the profit and loss account. Against this background, the current study intends to explore emerging issues in accounting for intangible assets.
- An Empirical Analysis of Determinants of Dividend Policy of FMCG Sector in India s paper intended to examine the determinants of dividend policy (DP) of FMCG sector inIndia. FMCG companies included in CNX FMCG the sectoral index for NSE are 15. Only 12companies have been taken for the study. The period of study has been considered for 10 yearsi.e. from 2003-04 to 2012-13. Here, various factors affecting DP such as dividend payout ratio(DPR), debt equity ratio (DER), earnings (ERN), corporate tax (CT), earnings per share (EPS)and firm size (FS) are considered for analysis. The empirical evidence from the study revealsthat DPR, DER, ERN, CT has significant impact on EPS and also good predictors of dividendpayout in FMCG sector.
- A Study on Capital Structure and Profitability : Evidence from Textile Industry in India,
This paper seeks to study on Capital Structure (CS) and Profitability (P) of
Textile Industry in India.. The objectives of this paper to examine the factors affecting (CS)
and (P). This study is to find out relationship between (CS) and (P) of textile industry. 27Textile Industry have been considered for the analysis. The period of has been considered for 10 years from 2005-06 to 2014-15. Descriptive statistics, Regression analysis and correlation analysis have been used as statistical tools. Four independent variables (DER, STD, LTD, and ICR) and three dependent variables (ROA, ROE, and ROCE) have been tested using regression analysis. The study found that factors such as Capital Structure (DER, STD, LTD, and ICR) have significant impact on profitability of the textile firm in
India during the period of study.
