Dr. Ghazala Naheed is an Associate Professor at the Women’s College, Aligarh Muslim
University, with over 28 years of teaching experience. She earned her Ph.D. in Zoology from
AMU and was awarded the University Gold Medal for first position in M.Sc. (Zoology) in
1983. She also qualified the UGC-NET in 1986.
Her research focuses on Animal Behaviour and Ecology, with a particular interest in the
behavioural patterns of rodents and the study of poison and bait shyness. Her work has been
published in leading journals, including Applied Animal Behaviour Science, German Journal
for Applied Zoology, and Elsevier publications.
Dr. Naheed has held several academic and administrative roles, including Provost of
Abdullah Hall, membership in the Faculty of Life Sciences, and responsibilities in
examination supervision and student mentoring. She is committed to innovative teaching
methods and student development.
