Dr. Zaid Mustafa Alavi is a
dedicated and
emerging scholar of Political Science specializing in International Relations
and Human Rights, with a focus on the role of major powers in shaping human
rights norms in the post-Cold War era. His research investigates the interplay
between US and EU foreign policy and the evolution of international human
rights frameworks. He is committed to fostering critical thinking and analytical
skills in students through inquiry-based learning and the integration of
digital tools. His teaching philosophy centers on creating an inclusive and
engaging classroom environment that connects theory to real-world applications. He seek to contribute to the department's strengths in research methods, international
relations and comparative politics, offering courses that integrate qualitative
and quantitative approaches to the study of global governance and develop my
career as a productive researcher and effective educator.
