Entrepreneurship Development Club (Ed Club)

Welcome to the Entrepreneurship Development Club (ED Club) at the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Malappuram Centre, a pioneering initiative sanctioned by the Kerala Government in 2023. Our club, under the able guidance of Dr. Jijo George, Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration, is dedicated to fostering an entrepreneurial culture exclusively among the students of AMU Malappuram Centre.

Mission: The mission of the Entrepreneurship Development Club at AMU Malappuram Centre is to empower students with the entrepreneurial mindset and tools necessary to thrive in today's competitive business environment. We strive to inspire and support students in realizing their entrepreneurial aspirations, thereby contributing to the economic growth and development of Kerala.

Objectives:

  • Create awareness among students about the importance and opportunities in entrepreneurship.
  • Provide students with the necessary skills, resources, and guidance to start and grow their own ventures.
  • Foster a supportive ecosystem where students can collaborate, innovate, and transform ideas into viable businesses.
  • Organize educational and inspirational events tailored to the specific needs and interests of AMU Malappuram Centre students.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities with industry experts, mentors, and successful entrepreneurs.
  • Encourage innovation and creativity through hands-on activities such as workshops, seminars, idea fests, and hackathons.

Activities:

  • Workshops: Practical sessions focused on developing entrepreneurial skills such as idea generation, business planning, marketing, and finance.
  • Seminars: Engaging discussions and presentations by industry experts and successful entrepreneurs on relevant topics in entrepreneurship.
  • Webinars: Virtual sessions providing valuable insights and knowledge on various aspects of starting and managing a business.
  • Idea Fests: Platforms for students to pitch their innovative ideas, receive feedback, and collaborate with peers to refine their concepts.
  • Hackathons: Intensive events where students work collaboratively to solve real-world problems and develop prototype solutions.

Nodal Officer:Dr. Jijo George, Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration, serves as the Nodal Officer for the Entrepreneurship Development Club. With his expertise and guidance, the club is committed to providing valuable resources and support to students interested in entrepreneurship.
