Raleigh Literary Society

Raleigh Literary Society of the  Department of English is named after the eminent English critic, Sir Walter Raleigh, who headed the Department from 1885 to 1887. The 
Raleigh Literary 
society has regularly been organizing various literary activities like debates, essay writing competitions, poetry recitations, short story writing competitions, and performance poetry. The 
Raleigh Literary 
society has also staged several plays and performances on different occasions. The events organized by the society help to stimulate students' interests in literature, culture and foster their creative talent.
