THRUST AREA OF THE DEPARTMENT
1.FOODS AND NUTRITION deals with physiology and promote health, normal and therapeutic nutrition, community nutrition and dietetics, nutritional biochemistry which are helpful in managing and controlling our daily diet.
2.RESOURCE MANAGEMENT includes residential space designing, family finance and consumer education, ergonomics, work in the home, interior decoration which masters our knowledge and make us efficient managers and home-makers .
3.CHILD DEVELOPMENT includes study of human beings from conception to birth progressive till death, characteristics of various periods of development, human development and parent relationships, impact of environment on child, needs of special children etc. are being offered by this subject which not only caters to the theoretical knowledge but have a positive impact in shaping our behavior and personalities.
