To impart the students with the basic clinical knowledge of Ophthalmology, so that the students shall be able to diagnose and treat trivial ocular conditions, provide first aid in cases of ocular emergencies, and refer complex cases in timely manner

Specially to encourage socio economically wanting strata of the society. 3. In a short period, a job oriented absorbing course is offered to students. They can become a support to their family at an early age.

1. After 2 years course students will get a Diploma in Optometry & Ophthalmic Assistance degree with which they can get jobs as optometrist in the country & abroad. They can join private eye Doctors as assistants and can also start their own practice. 2. They can further join degree course (B.Sc. in Optometry) and can get 1 year waive off as latent entry (subjected to concerned authority) 3. Our university is soon going to start B.Sc. courses in the Para Medical College. 4. They can further do M.Sc. & Phd. in Optometry & can join teaching & research works.
