- Mr. Mofikul Islam (Ex-BSF), Assistant Professor (Senior Scale), Coordinator of Regional Centre of Distance and Online Education, AMU Centre Murshidabad. worked as the Unit Coordinator-MBA from 2021-23, Member of the Academic Council of AMU Aligarh from 2021-22, Deputy Proctor from 2021-22 and chairman of the Committee of Studies from 2022-23, Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration & Faculty of Management Studies & Research of Aligarh Muslim University Centre Murshidabad (WB) since 2012. His teaching subjects include Big Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Business Environment, Business Law and Ethics, E-Commerce, International Business, Project Management, and Total Quality Management. He is also actively taking computer practical classes for PG students. His research interests include information technology TQM, AI & ML, Data Science, and E-Commerce. He started his career in 1990 as a Radio Operator in BSF after passing the Secondary Examination from the West Bengal board. In 1995, he completed Intermediate with Science from the Indian Air Force School No-1, Jodhpur (Rajasthan) affiliated with NOS New Delhi. In 2004, he completed his BCA from IGNOU Study Centre (SC) Maulana Azad College, Kolkata, and completed ADCA & MCA in 2005 from Study Centre St. Xaviers College, Kolkata. He earned all these degrees simultaneously with BSF service. Later on, he completed the DIM, PGDIM, PGDOM & MBA with a specialization in Operations Management from IGNOU SC, St. Xaviers College, Kolkata. Before joining Aligarh Muslim University, he worked as a Systems Manager in the IT sector for 4 years. He also acquired a Diploma in Java Programming from C-DAC Kolkata. Ex-BSF (Border Security Force)/ Central Armed Police Force, Radio/Wireless Operator, Dept. of Communication & Information Technology Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of INDIA. 33 Years of work experience in various institutes/organizations in various capacities with different assignments.
