Dr. Nafis Faizi works as an Epidemiologist and an Assistant Professor of Community Medicine, at JN Medical College, AMU. He is currently a fellow of Health Policy & Systems Research (India HPSR Fellow) and an Editor of Plos Global Public Health. Previously he worked as a Scientist E (Medical) at ICMR-National Institute of Malaria Research and has also taught postgraduates of public health at Victoria University and People's Health University.

Research Focus: Health Systems, Global Health & Policy, HIV/AIDS Care, Epidemiology of Hypertension and other NCDs (ORCID ID: 0000-0002-4634-6790, Web of Science ResearcherID: P-1674-2015). 

Policy Focus: Antimicrobial Resistance (through Antibiotic Resistance Coalition), Health Systems and Access to Medicines through Democratizing Global Health Initiative.

Research Trainer: Epidemiology and research methods, biostatistics, software (SPSS, Epidata, Epicollect), and research dissemination.

Qualifications:

He completed his MBBS and MD from JN Medical College, AMU, Aligarh, and MPH from Manchester Metropolitan University. He is also an alumnus of the Poverty Action Lab (JPAL) Executive Education, International Public Health University (IPHU) and People's Open Access Education Initiative (PG Diploma in Public Health). He is also a member of multiple professional associations including International Epidemiological Association, Health Action International, Statistics without Borders, IAPSM, and IPHA.
